MATHS SCHOOL TUTORS
Building mathematical confidence since 2021*
We are on a mathematical tuition mission!
Maths Schools were established by the Government to nurture the nation's brightest mathematical talent while driving community outreach in STEM subjects. There are currently eight of these specialist state 6th Form schools, each affiliated to a different University: Cambridge, Exeter, Imperial, King's College London, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool and Surrey.
Via this platform, and with your support, we are empowering current and former students to independently champion that outreach mission by enabling them to offer peer-led tuition to others.
Why Maths School Tutors might be ideal for your child?
To quote one of our learners... “If I am going to have a tutor, it might as well be with an academic weapon who's just smashed the exams that are probably going to be used for my mocks!”
We laughed…but it's true. Whatever your learner's current ability, wouldn't tutor sessions with someone tremendously capable yet still very relatable make it easier for your child to progress towards their goals?
In light of all the sessions we have already delivered, we feel confident that the answer is yes (there's also a wealth of academic research proving the effectiveness of peer-led learning), so please, try us out - it's why we offer a free introductory hour.

We operate a transparent pricing structure. There are no hidden fees or extra charges.

+10 MINUTES
Because it's a smarter finish to every session
At the Tutor’s discretion, every session may be extended by up to 10 minutes at no additional cost. This flexible approach ensures that learning time is always maximised and never cut short.
This means:
-
Your learner always receives the full benefit of 60 minutes of focused tuition.
-
Settling down, admin, or catch-up conversations never impact learning time.
-
If strong progress is being made, we just continue rather than stopping abruptly.
-
There is always time at the end of the session to provide feedback to you and your learner.
It’s a small detail that makes a big difference to the quality and continuity of each lesson.
ABOUT THE FREE INTRODUCTORY HOUR
Jack - Co-Founder and Lead Tutor
Hello and welcome to Maths School Tutors.
I’m Jack, a former student of King’s College London Maths School with over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience.
Beyond giving you a chance to try out our service, we offer a free introductory hour to ensure a relaxed space where your learner can meet with their DBS checked Tutor and talk through their mathematical journey so far.
During this session, we will also do a little maths — not as a test, but simply so we can observe how your learner approaches and solves problems. This helps us begin shaping a personalised learning strategy tailored to meet their needs and ensures we start the first formal session proactively.
Is there a specific subject area your learner would like to cover?
We also warmly welcome your input. It helps 'break the ice', and administratively, we prefer to immediately familiarise you with our online safety and security protocols.
Please explore our FAQ page or, if you have a question/s, email me directly at
