Terms and Conditions for Maths School Tutors
1. General Overview

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all tutoring services provided by Maths School Tutors, referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”.

By booking a session with us, you (“the Client” or “Parent/Guardian”) agree to these Terms.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Notice will be given for material changes.
2. Services Provided

We provide one-to-one and group tutoring sessions for learners in Mathematics.

Sessions are held online.
-
All tutors are vetted, DBS checked, and trained according to our safeguarding policy.
3. Booking & Payment

Sessions must be booked in advance via our website, email or text.

Payment is required in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.

We accept payment via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or approved direct debit arrangements.
-
Session slots are only confirmed upon receipt of payment.
4. Cancellations & Refund Policy
-
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full. Waiver of this fee is at the Tutors discretion.

In case of Tutor illness or cancellation, we will reschedule the session.

No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
5. Conduct & Expectations
-
Students are expected to attend sessions on time and ready to learn.

Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may lead to termination of services without refund.

Tutors will not tolerate abuse, aggression, or harassment from clients or students.

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that online students have a suitable learning environment.
6. Safeguarding & Child Protection

All tutors are subject to enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training.

Online sessions may be recorded for quality and safeguarding purposes.

Any safeguarding concerns will be reported to the appropriate authorities in line with UK law.
7. Educational Materials

We may provide worksheets, textbooks, or digital resources as part of our service.

Materials are intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

Reproduction or distribution of our materials without permission is prohibited.
8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

We collect personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Client data is stored securely and used solely for service delivery and communication.

We will never sell or share your data with third parties without your consent.

You may request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time.
9. Limitation of Liability

While we aim to improve academic performance, we do not guarantee specific outcomes or grades.

We are not liable for any direct or indirect losses, including exam results or missed opportunities.

Our liability is limited to the total fees paid for the services provided.
10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or changes due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, illness, technical failures).

We will endeavour to resume or reschedule sessions as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate services with one week's written notice.

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if these Terms are breached.

Any unused prepaid sessions will be refunded subject to the adherence of all other terms.
12. Feedback & Complaints

We welcome constructive feedback to improve our services.

Complaints should be made in writing via email to [your contact email].

We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days.
13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
